High School Youth Ministry Program Bulletin Announcement for Sunday, May 2, 2010

 High School Youth Group meets this Sunday, May 2 from 6-8pm.  The Diocesan Safe Environment Training “Circle of Grace” will be offered for 9-12 graders.  All teens are invited and encouraged to participate in this excellent training opportunity. We will also meet on Sunday, May 9^th from 6-8pm for an important preparation meeting for the Pure Life Event. A special thank you to all the mom’s for sharing your teens this day to help us finalize the last minute details for the largest teen outreach of our youth ministry program! God bless you!

 The Dead Theologians Society will continue to meet each Tuesday Night from 6:15pm-8:00pm through May 18^th, 2010.  This will conclude DTS until the fall.  Thanks for the great support for this new program this past year!

.C.L.I. (Christian Leadership Institute) for High School teens  is the week of June 20-25, 2010 at the Kettunen Center in Tustin, Michigan.  The Institute offers an opportunity for leadership development through an intense period of learning and community living.  The program is an in-depth experience in community building, communications skills, and personal growth which will enable each Catholic young person to take a leadership role in parish or school youth ministry. NATIONAL CHASTITY SPEAKER JASON EVERT COMING TO NORTHERN MICHIGAN IN MAY

 The Pure Life Event featuring national chastity speaker Jason Evert from Catholic Answers will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 6:30pm at the Petoskey Middle School Auditorium. Jason will present his life-changing teen presentation “Romance without Regret” to young people 8^th grade on up. Jason Evert speaks to more than 100,000 teens a year and we are truly blessed to have him here in Petoskey this spring.  Featuring music from the Petoskey High School Steel Drum Band - the Pure Life Event is open to all teens and is a free admission event. Mark the family calender and fill the mini-van with your teens and their friends and don’t miss this “once in a lifetime opportunity”! Jason will also be giving a special Parent Presentation entitled “Raising Chaste Teens” that will be held on Monday, May 17 at 8:30am at Immaculate Conception Church in Traverse City.  A Catholic High School Teen Presentation will be given on Monday, May 17 at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church for the Diocese of Gaylord’s Catholic High Schools.
