Knights of Columbus 9th Annual Polish Dance Party

Sunday, Oct, 5 from 2-6pm at the Gaylord K of C Hall on Wilkinson Road

Great polka music will be offered by “Polka Music Sound” from Davison, Michigan.  Authentic homemade polish food will be available.  Admission is $8 adults, children 18 and under free when accompanied by parents or grandparents.  Call Glen Larsen at 989-731-1873 with inquires.

 

Boyne Valley Catholic Community presents an international speaker, Ms Lorna Kelly.

Tuesday, Oct. 7 beginning at 7pm in Boyne City.

Lorna will witness with wit and humor as she shares her experiences of working alongside Mother Teresa of Calcutta.  Plan on attending Matthew Hall in Boyne City.

Annual Charismatic Retreat

Oct. 10,11,12th at the Augustine Center in Conway with James Murphy as retreat leader

The theme will be “The Kingdom of God” for this weekend of praise, worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship,  Fr. Outdoor Movie Night

Sunday, Oct 12 from 6-9pm

All middle schoolers are invited to Kiwanis Park on  for music, the movie “Sandlot,” popcorn & drinks sponsored by Harbor Youth Watch. Last year we had over 100 kids!

Pillows and Pillow Cases Needed

The Nehemiah and Mary Margaret Houses are in need of pillows and pillow cases.  Donations of these items can be placed in the boxes provided at both entrances to the Church for the next two weeks.  Thank you from the Christian Service Commission of Holy Childhood.

Request for Homemade Jam

Our parish provides Care Baskets for anyone in need of comfort and support.  These baskets are filled with homemade bread and jam and a thoughtful note sharing our parish’s love and concern.  Currently, we are in need of homemade jam.  If you are able to contribute jam to this outreach effort please drop it off at the church office.

Holy Childhood Parish will soon begin a new journey in faith to share the richness of the Catholic Church and our parish family.  We invite you to learn what the Church teaches, and be introduced to some of our parish members.  These sessions also are opportunities for you, and others that you may wish to invite, to ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the Church.  These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to people who are unbaptized, as well as those who are baptized Christians from Protestant or Evangelical backgrounds.
