Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me

Meetings: 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Thomas Aquinas Library

Membership: Any member of the parish is welcome to join us in serving our parish and community.

Our Mission:  Our mission is to serve our neighbor and take action wherever we are needed to spread the love and peace of God’s Kingdom through the Corporal Works of Mercy. These are acts of love that come from our heart to help our neighbor in his need. In Matthew 25:40 Jesus says “Whatever you do for the least of my people, you do for me.”

The 7 Corporal Works of Mercy:

Recent Projects:  The heart and spirit of Holy Childhood Parish continues to reach out into the community and share God’s love with those around us.

  • Over a thousand dollars collected through Coins for Charity to help those in need of heat assistance.

  • Handmade hats and gloves were provided to children who have been left homeless and without anything new to call their own.

  • Over 110 Christmas bags were distributed to those in most need. More parishioners participated than ever before in the food drive.

  • 80 Christmas cards were sent to the military from our parish to help them remember they are not alone and we care about them.

  • Recent grocery drives provided much needed food to the Harbor Springs Community Food Pantry.

  • Care Baskets prepared by the parish were sent out into the community and bread and jam was shared with the forgotten and lonely.

Project Connect

“Project Connect” is a project to connect low-income families with services and products such as: child development screening, health and dental screenings, income tax help and food and clothing distribution.  The American Red Cross is asking churches in Charlevoix and Emmet County to assist by donating blankets.

We welcome suggestions for future projects.
