Return to Christian Service Commission Page Minutes Christian Service Meeting 11 members present Prayer: Jane 1 New Members no one present- ask to members when see them we missed them. 2 Christmas food baskets- Velma going well, RCIA boxes from hall, will put in bulletin items in need of, will call Verhelle's and others who donate special items to see if they are donating this year again. Packing (gym)on 12/17 at 6:00pm deliver 12/18 at 8:00am. Figuring on 100 baskets. 3 Sharing and Caring -Dick thank you for articles in bulletin need announcement this weekend, he will look for trailer to take items to destination. 4 Artist baptismal shells have 5 artist, showed two samples, need more shells -will check at Sea Shell City. 5 Crop Walk Bev-collected $7365.25 which 10% goes to our local food pantry, 15% to Br. Dan's in Petoskey, Thank you to helpers wonderful day, and support, Bev said she will not coordinate this project another year -did suggest to them that Holy Childhood is a good starting place. Bev thought that maybe she would like to coordinate a collection on the same idea for our local food pantry -by doing a walk perhaps ? ! 6 New Business: Bev would like to have a program for Family in Crisis deliver suggestion bread and jam in basket with note you are in our thoughts and prayers. This would go to any family no matter church affiliation or if affiliated just in crisis. This would let them know that Holy Childhood Parish is keeping them in our prayers. Thought excellent idea. Will try to coordinate for January business. 7 Jaci Krieg will do cards for shut-ins for Christmas Jane will provide updated list and labels and cards 8 Marcella St. Anne's needs flower vases for shut-ins if you have any at home. 9 Informed members of the Ecumenical Prayer Service on Tues. Nov .23rd at Harbor Springs Middle School. 10 Rice Bowl Coordinator explained program but no one jumped to coordinate several suggestion of members not present to help Carlotta will ask them (Joe Hickey Mary McCullough??
